Register
If you wish to register with the practice you must be in the practice area . You can either register permanently or, if you are staying for a short period in the area and need medical services, temporarily. To do this you will need to fill in registration forms at the practice.
Home Visits
Home visits are performed for people who because of their medical condition are unable to attend the practice. If you require a home visit you are requested to contact the surgery before 10.00am whenever possible.
Blood tests
A phlebotomist (someone who takes blood), attends the practice two to three times a week to take blood. If you need a routine test an appointment can be made at the practice or by phone. The results of most blood tests will be available within 3-4 working days, although there are some tests which can take longer.
Results
If you require the results of any investigations done or are enquiring about letters from hospital please ring after 2.00pm Please note that results will not be given to anybody apart from the person who the test refers to unless there is explicit written permission to the contrary.
Complaints
We aim to provide a good service, but if you have any problems please contact the practice manager. You will be asked to put your complaint in writing and it will be acknowledged immediately in writing and the matter investigated. A written reply will then be sent within fourteen days of receiving the complaint.
