Clinic Information

If you wish to see a doctor or nurse there are clinics that run during opening times at both the Dorrington and Bayston Hill surgeries. For information on how to make an appointment click here . The doctors are also usually available for telephone calls between 8.45 and 9.00am each day – emergencies permitting.

In addition there are more specialist clinics, that run through the week in the Bayston Hill surgery, at the following times:

Asthma clinic

This is a clinic for established asthmatics to review asthma control and treatment. It is predominately a nurse led clinic with doctor support

The clinic runs on Tuesdays 2- 4pm and 3.30 – 6pm (alternate weeks)

Young Person's Clinic

Please follow the link for more information on this clinic. This is a Nurse and Doctor led clinic.

The clinic runs on Tuesdays 5- 6pm every other week. It runs as a drop in or appointment services, so you can either make an appointment or just turn up.

Cardiovascular clinic

This clinic follows up people with established disease of their arteries (Heart disease, stroke and arterial disease of the legs). It aims to make sure people are on the optimal medication for their disease and are aware of the most appropriate lifestyle interventions. This is a Nurse led clinic.

The clinic runs on Wednesdays 9am – 12pm.

Minor Surgery

In this clinic minor skin and nail surgery is performed. People are referred from doctors in the practice if it is felt the problem can be dealt with in the minor surgery clinic. This is a doctor led service.

The clinic runs Wednesdays 2 – 4.30pm on alternate weeks.

Diabetic clinic

This is a clinic for diagnosed diabetics to review diabetic control and treatment. It is predominately a Nurse led clinic with doctor support

The clinic runs every Thursday 9 – 12 noon.

Childhood Vaccinations

Routine childhood immunisations are given in this clinic and it is nurse led.

The clinic runs on alternate Thursdays 2 – 4.30pm.

Other clinics – Epilepsy / Depression / Chest clinic

These are nurse led clinics reviewing the management of epilepsy depression and chronic chest disease

The clinics run on Thursdays 2 -4.30pm in rotation.
